1-Component Automotive Repair Plastic Primer

A ready-to-use, one-component primer designed for the repair of automotive parts, especially those made of plastic. Its main function is to improve the adhesion of paint layers.

Properties

• Excellent adhesion to plastics
• Very short drying time (10-15 minutes at 20°C).
• Resistant to chemical and atmospheric agents
• Hardener not required
• Does not have filling properties

Can be used in all paint systems

Application
Primer intended for application to various types of plastics, in particular polypropylene (PP) and its mixtures.

Note: The manufacturer does not guarantee improved adhesion to pure polyethylene (PE).

The following can be applied directly to the dried primer:

• 2-component acrylic primers,
• 2-component topcoats,
• 1-component paints and basecoats.

Application conditions

Optimal application temperature: Room temperature

Product and ambient temperatures should be similar.

Work should be carried out in well-ventilated areas.

Application in Repairs
The primer is a key element in the process of repairing and painting plastic parts such as:

• bumpers
• mirrors,
• spoilers,
• PVC doors and windows.

Skipping this step can lead to paint, primer and even putty coming off the plastic.
